Capacity Cloud Drive Overview

Lordell Updated by Lordell

The Capacity Cloud Drive gives users the ability to upload, download, and share files directly from the Copilot Console.

Capacity can host the following file types:

  • Documents
  • Images

For a more detailed breakdown of what file types Capacity can support, check out the full listing here.

Uploading Files

  1. Select the folder you want to add files to. If a folder is not selected, the file will appear at the bottom of your Knowledge Library.
  2. Click the New button located at the top of the blue side bar.
  3. Select File Upload > Choose a file to upload.
Drag files into Capacity Cloud Drive
  1. On your computer, locate the file you want to upload.
  2. Drag your file into the folder or dialogue to add it to the Knowledge Base

If you have active downloads, do not navigate away from CoPilot or refresh the screen. Doing so will cancel any active downloads. When the upload is successful, you will receive a notification acknowledging that the upload was successful.

NOTE: You can upload up to 200 MB per file. If your file exceeds the 200 MB limit, Capacity will send an alert.

Uploading Files with the Same Name
  • Files located in the same folder - Files in the same folder must have unique names. If not, Capacity will prompt the user to give the new file a unique name.
  • Files located in different folders - Files with the same name can exist in your Knowledge Library, but they must be located in different folders.

If a new file upload contains the same name as the previous file, and they are located within the same folder, you will receive an error message and be prompted to give the new file a unique name.

If you want to keep both files, please choose a unique name before uploading the new file.

Files stored in the CoPilot Console are accessible via Public Links. To turn on LinkSharing for a file:

  1. Select the file you want to make accessible
  2. Click on the Public Link icon located in the upper right hand corner.
  3. Toggle the Public Links button to the On position.

With the Public Links option turned on, users will be able to allow third-parties to download and access these files.

  1. Select the file you want to make unaccessible
  2. Click on the Public Link icon located in the upper right hand corner.
  3. Toggle the Public Links button to the Off position.

When sharing is turned off for a file(s), its associated Public Link will no longer be active.
