Pinning Questions to a Dashboard

Pinning saves an answer from a chat onto a dashboard, so the insight is always one click away for your team. This is how you turn a one-off question into a metric you track over time.

Pinning an answer from chat

  1. In a chat, find the answer you want to keep.
  2. Click Pin on that answer.
  3. Choose the dashboard to pin it to (or create a new one).
  4. The answer is added to that dashboard as a question card.

Please note, pinning uses the most recent answer in the chat. If you want to pin an answer from earlier in a conversation, start a new chat and ask that question directly, then pin the fresh answer.

Renaming a pinned card

The card keeps the original question as its title, but you can give it a clearer, shorter name for the dashboard.

  1. Open the dashboard and find the card.
  2. Select the card's options and choose Rename.
  3. Enter the new name and save.

Removing a pinned card

To take a card off a dashboard, open its options and choose Unpin (or Remove). This removes the card from the dashboard; it doesn't delete the original chat.

Keeping a pinned card up to date

A pinned card shows the answer captured at the time it was pinned. To pull the latest numbers, refresh the card or the dashboard. See How Your Data Stays Up to Date.
