Concierge General Settings

Within the Concierge Setup, the first section is labeled General. This section contains a variety of options and settings for your bot.

  1. Concierge Name: This is the internal name for your concierge.
  2. Bot Name: This is the external name for the bot users will see when chatting.
  3. Link Settings: This setting controls how links presented within the concierge open, whether in the same window you are currently viewing or a new window/tab.
  4. Error Message Response: This displays when an error is returned in the conversation. There is also an option to include the error code from Capacity in the response which could be helpful in troubleshooting the issue.
  5. Mobile App Display: This controls whether the concierge will show up in the menu to navigate to different concierges while using the mobile app. This is defaulted to not display in the mobile app menu.
  6. Form Submission Response: This setting controls what displays after a form card is filled out as part of a conversation.
  7. Privacy Policy Link: At the bottom of the concierge, there is a privacy policy link. This setting controls the destination of that link.
  8. Clarifier Prompt: When a conversation doesn't hit any direct matches in your Knowledge Base, we may display a clarifying prompt. This controls what text we display when suggesting topic options to the user.
  9. Clarifier Option - None of the Above: This text controls what displays in the button to give users the ability to indicate that none of the clarifier options presented were relevant.
  10. Miscellaneous Settings: A collection of optional settings for the concierge.
    1. Load Articles inline when available: When checked, if any article links are returned as part of a conversation response, when clicked we will load the articles inside of the concierge bot. This only applies to articles built on sites within Capacity.
    2. Show Related Queries when available: When turned on, this will display related search queries that other users have asked. It will display at the bottom with suggested topics under a "People also ask:" prompt.
    3. Suppress Welcome Message guided conversation: When checked, the concierge will not automatically trigger the Welcome Message when a user engages with the concierge for the first time in a session. Turning this off can be helpful if you want to dynamically trigger the Welcome Message on your own.
    4. Start at the Chat Screen:  When checked, the concierge will show the chat window view on load instead of the main menu view.
