Creating New and Removing Concierge Bots

Create a New Concierge

Create and manage up to 100 web concierges that can live on any web page that you'd like.

1. Click the settings icon in the left navigation menu
2. Expand the Concierge menu under the Chat Interfaces section and select Concierge Bots
3. Hit the Add button in the upper right-hand corner
4. Enter in the Concierge Name and hit Create

Activating & Adding a Concierge to Your Web Page

The tools needed to activate a Concierge and copy the code you will need to add it to your page are located in the upper right-hand corner of the Concierge Settings page.

1. The On/Off toggle represents the Concierge Bot's activated/deactivated status. If a Concierge is deactivated, it will not render on your page. To turn it on, make sure the toggle is set to the green ON position.
2. Hit the Copy Script icon to automatically copy the JavaScript snippet of code to your clipboard and allow you to then place that on the web page where you'd like the Concierge appear.
   1. To install the Concierge on every page of a website, put the JavaScript in a universal element such as the Footer.

Removing a Concierge

To remove a Concierge from your webpage and/or from your account, you can remove the code from your website, but also within the Capacity console you can either delete or deactivate the Concierge.

Deactivating a Concierge

Deactivating a Concierge is a good option if you want to retain the bot to allow for the future possibility of reactivating without having to rebuild the bot. To deactivate a Concierge Bot, simply navigate to the Concierge by going to Settings > Chat Interfaces > Concierge > Concierge Bots and click on the Concierge you wish to deactivate. From that page, simply click on the ON/OFF toggle in the upper-right corner and set it to the OFF position. 

Concierges that are deactivated will not render on a web page.

Deleting a Concierge

Deleting a Concierge is a more permanent way to remove a Concierge from your account. This will remove the Concierge and all of its settings from your account. If the code is still copied on any pages, the Concierge will no longer render. Deleted Concierges cannot be restored.
